George Washington’s Secret Six

519xdcuumqlBook #6: George Washington’s Secret Six: The Spy Ring that Saved the American Revolution, Brian Kilmeade & Don Yaeger

Having suffered a significant and humiliating loss in New York to the British Army, General Washington found himself looking for ways to recapture the prize of the middle colonies.  But what he was lacking was intelligence of the British plans and intentions.  This book tells the story of a clandestine group of patriots who risked all for the sake of the fledgling United States.  It is a great example that wars are won not only by boots on the ground but through the the intelligence provided by men and women who hide in plain sight.  It is a fascinating read.

  1. I’m getting ready to read this book as part of my research for my 2nd historical fantasy novel in a series. I’m looking forward to reading about Abraham Woodhull and what he REALLY did aside from what I saw on the TV series “Turn: Washington’s Spies”. I’ve seen several book reviews on this book and they’re all positive.
